The mention of street art or graffiti generates mixed reactions. Some regard art with a spray can as vandalism, others see it as art but unlike some of the world's most famous pieces of art, everyone has heard of and has an opinion of street art whether it is positive or negative.
I see the street art of today as a vibrant, fast evolving art form that has many barriers yet to break and I devise my creative stencil work to be at the forefront of this very new art form.
My pictures are painted on recycled materials whether that be on canvases, old LPs or discarded advertising board. My tools are a pencil or pen and a sharp craft knife, there are no laser cutters. Once an idea is formed, a thumbnail sketch is drawn which is then super-sized up into a detailed drawing. I then carefully cut out the stencils which become the backbone of my painting. All the artwork is then completed with spray cans.
My work can be seen all over the world from UK cities like Glasgow, Bristol and London, in European cities like Barcelona and Lisbon to the other side of the Atlantic in Los Angeles and San Paulo.
I am based on the Isle of Wight, working daily from my studio in one of the sunniest parts of the UK and within easy reach of Bristol and London
